We were unhappy with the local bid we got and the fact that they couldn't deliver for 4 weeks. I had bought a much smaller mirror a year ago on Amazon but this just seemed like a much more complicated and bigger endeavor, we were both very apprehensive. We must have measured 50 times, since returning it was out of the question price-wise. We didn't think it was something the two of us oldies could do on our own. The design is ingenious. The lights are in a light weight frame that is installed first and then the mirror has cleats of the back which slot into the frame. We had VERY LITTLE clearance (1/8 in on each side).....and that was very worrisome, but the manufacturer measure were accurate and we installed it the day it arrived. It was very securely packed and our biggest concern was getting the frame up the first time around which required lots of measuring and leveling on our part. My best advice is not to skimp on this prep work. The light is quite bright for our purposes, and I like how it flows from behind the mirror out the sides, which makes it seem like it is floating above the sink. We could not be more pleased. We think it looks fabulous.
